— WELCOME TO THE MAC27 COLLECTION —

I’m a collector of vintage Apple computer systems based on the East Coast of the United States. My privately-owned collection focuses on the later PowerPC systems (1998 - 2005), and I have a particular affinity for the G3 era as it was such an exciting (and colorful) time in Apple’s history. This website is a personal project, created to showcase and share my collection with anyone else interested in these machines.

Each item in the collection has its own page and is grouped by category; use the navigation bar at the top of the page to browse.

Question? Comment? Find an egregious misspelling or factual error? Use the blue button in the top-right to email me.

Please do not contact me with purchase inquiries — no items in the collection are for sale.

RETROMACCAST APPEARANCE —

The collection was featured on episode #670 (December 11, 2023) of the RetroMacCast! The RetroMacCast is a weekly podcast hosted by James and John, two fellow vintage Macintosh enthusiasts.

— COLLECTION MANAGEMENT —

  • The collection is housed in a cool, dry, smoke-free, pet-free, indoor environment

  • All PRAM batteries have been removed to prevent any leakage/damage, even if photos show them still installed

  • All machines are unboxed and powered on (at least) annually for preventative maintenance: inspection of plastics, component testing, thermal paste, etc.

  • Each item is thoroughly cleaned upon acquisition, including cables and peripherals - in some cases, machines are entirely disassembled to do so - anything that appears to be dirt, dust or other minor blemishes in photos was not able to be removed

  • For the G3 and G4 towers, the Torx screws on the outer side panels have been slightly loosened to lessen the chances of stress cracks developing in the acrylic

  • All items in the collection are stored in their original boxes & packaging for best preservation when not in use

  • All machines have AirPort / AirPort Extreme cards installed where applicable
